These are the currently known facts about the situation
Jessica is no longer part of GG
The Members wore Blanc merchandise to the airport
The members cried at the Chinese event yesterday
The members have been visually distressed for the past 2 days
Jessica was forced out;…
Alright, let me just get one thing straight and then I’ll shut up.
The point isn’t that Jessica is leaving, the point is the way it was handled.
We all knew that even though Girls’ Generation is going to last forever, they wouldn’t be performing forever. We all knew that there would be a point in time when our girls would move on to their own individual lives but still maintain the bond and friendship that makes them SNSD. I feel like a lot of us just imagined that when that day came, they would end their performances and music the way they’ve done everything: together. Having Jessica gone and promoting the group with 8 members isn’t going to fly, SNSD is and will forever be 9.
Now with everything floating around out there we still aren’t sure what the truth of the story is. Whether it was initially Sica’s decision or whether SM is just screwing things up like it usually does, we don’t know. But we do know that it came suddenly, without any warning, and Jessica basically had the rug pulled out from under her. After all the hard work and love she’s put into her time at SM Entertainment, that is far from right.
What I’m trying to get at is that if the girls decide to leave the group for their own reasons, that’s fine. I will be extremely saddened to see them go but all I want is for them to be happy and content with their lives. But if SM is forcing them out for whatever reason like these past 7 years have meant nothing, that is a freshly crapped load of shit.
*Waits patiently for the rioting in Korea to start*
In a situation like this I would be the very first person to offer up a long-winded, enraged, curse word filled rant, but there just isn’t enough time in the world for me to say all the things I want/need to say. So instead, I’ll just leave you with this:
I hope Jessica marches right into that SM building and dolphin screams in everyone’s ear.
The first thing I want to say is thank you. Thank you to the nine of you who have provided us fans with so much love, laughter, and happiness. I know it must be difficult, being the nation’s girl group and having all this pressure on your shoulders, but the most important part is you never gave up. Thank you for your strength. It’s been a wonderful 7 years, and I hope to keep seeing SNSD flourish for the next years to come. #9irlsGenera7ion #Unbreakable
